Automotive manufacturers are constantly advancing technology to increase the performance of the vehicle, as well as to raise the comfort and safety levels of the passengers. Correspondingly, the number of sensors and applications used in vehicles are continuously on the rise. More often than not, these - often highly sensitive - electronic components are integrated into the engine compartment, where they are exposed to extreme environmental influences. These include serious temperature fluctuations, strong vibrations and high pressure, as well as exposure to substances such as engine oil, fuel, brake fluid and their residues. As such, it is extremely important that these electronic components are reliably protected for a long period of time.
