Product Description Pressure sensors are extremely sensitive to overloading and can be irreparably damaged if the measuring range is exceeded. Pressure sensors can be reliably protected using hermetically sealed glass-to-metal housing components. |

Product Advantages The housing components are extremely resistant to corrosion, thus ensuring that the sensors – particularly those used in industrial applications – can maintain a long lifespan. The materials used in the housing components are of foodgrade and are therefore suitable for use in not only transport applications, but also in food storage applications. These materials are also applicable for medical applications as well. Our glass-to-metal sealed feedthroughs provide reliable protection and are resistant to a range of harmful environmental influences. Applications In the automotive sector, these housing components are primarily used for encapsulating tire and oil pressure sensors. In the industrial sector, these housing components are used predominantly in high-pressure applications, process engineering, control equipment and in food transportation and storage. In the medical electronics industry, blood pressure monitoring is a common application. Technology The types of metal and glass used for the housing are selected based on customer requirements. For example, stainless steel or titanium metal housings can be offered to customers in the medical electronics industry for pressure monitoring. To ensure reliable hermeticity of these housing components, our signature glass-to-metal sealing (GTMS) technology is used. Please click on this page for more information. Features / Specifications The glass-to-metal sealed feedthroughs are suitable for measuring extremely high pressures (up to 2,000 bar) as well as for recording extremely small pressure differentials.
