Marine / LNG vessels As an alternative to extremely expensive gas pipelines, specially designed cryogenic sea vessels and road tankers are becoming increasingly important to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG). The pumps that fill and empty the tanks are typically installed inside the vessels – completely submerged and flooded with LNG, cooled down to -160°C for reduced volume. These submerged pumps can be safely supplied with energy through the use of large scale power and instrumentation penetrations for LNG and CNG (compressed natural gas) vessels which we provided to our customers. |
